Information Technology Support Specialist
Roles and Responsibilities

Provide desk side and remote technical support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issue

Responding to hardware questions and problems, troubleshooting when need be, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, projector, spider phone,tele and video conferencing facilities, and other technical devices as the firm expand

Keep track, monitor and install software applications and perform periodic system upgrades to desktop and laptop computers, and other relevant technical devices used in the firm

Coordinate day to day operational IT activities, including new hire set up, audio and video conference presentations and phone connections, office moves and departures.

Work with GM (this includes Human Resource and Admin Manager) to handle confidential matters such as lateral attorney hires, arrivals, termination etc.

Project management and problem-solving skills to improve legal systems, processes, and data analytics.

Plays an important role in designing, planning, executing, tracking and coordinating all IT related operational improvement projects and IT related systems and software

Will work together with the GM and Tech Committee to aid in the selection and implementation of certain technology solutions, including liaising with vendors and systems provider

Assist with the preparation and delivery of self-help tools, materials/ resources such as step-by-step guides, toolkits, process and procedures documents, training materials, policy documents and guidelines.

Assist the GM in all business development and change management efforts which require IT solutions and support

Contribute and conduct system requirements and testing and work with Tech Committee and external vendors on delivery and validation of the technology

Assist in IT and all related technical systems hardware and software purchases and recommendations, including negotiating for the best SLA for the firm

Identify process improvements opportunities

Advise GM and Tech Team on operational capabilities, gaps and recommended changes

Manage firm’s legal management systems, CRM, DM and other relevant systems

Administrator for the website and social media
-
This role reports to the General Manager with an additional supporting function to the Exco, Partners, and incumbent role in working together with the Tech Team.

Taking an active role to keep oneself abreast with the latest technology such as FINTECH, Cybersecurity and AI that will assist in firm operations’ efficiency and client intake.

Able to prepare monthly and ad hoc reports on IT issues and updates to the management
-
Attend to ad-hoc assignment as required
Job Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Diploma/Degree in Information Technology; Business Information Systems; Computer Science or equivalent.

Experienced IT professional with at least three to five-year experience.

Professional IT certificate will be considered.

Candidate with higher qualification and experiences are welcome to apply. Remuneration is based on experience.

Technical experience for this role includes and not limited to Windows 7 -10 and desktop software including Microsoft Office; Office 365 or Google Apps, Wifi, Routers, Broadband, Firewall, DNS, VLANs, Active Directory, Google Chrome and G Suites, FTP Servers, any CRM system. Legal Management System understanding, troubleshooting and vendor coordination will also be part of the hire IT professional’s job scope.

Software development and Programming capabilities are added advantage.

Prior knowledge and experience working in an office environment preferred.

Experience working in a legal firm is an added advantage.

Good communicator focused with great time management skills, able to effectively deal with compelling and complex issues from a demanding user base.

Able to communicate and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Preferably an IT professional who has the technical ability with good people skills providing. assistance to achieve operational excellence.
